Nail Biter
On Saturday morning Feb.21/15 at the LRC it was The Battle Of The Muskies Part # 3. Lindsay Mite Black faced off against Lindsay Mite Teal in what proved to be a very entertaining game. Mite Black got off to a slow start and Teal took advantage of this jumping out to a 6 - 0 lead until midway through the second period when Black decided to mount the come back.
By the end of the second period it was 6- 4 for Teal. Black kept pushing but only could pull within 2 goals of Teal, and as a result ended up losing 10-5. Largely in part due to the stellar goaltending of Tyler Campbell from Teal. Evan Duncan # 12 Lead the way for Black in the losing cause with a 2 goal and 2 assist effort. Followed by Jake van Luik-Brohman # 9 with 2 goals and Gavin Fyke # 11 once again extended his point streak with a goal of his own, along with some gritty play along the boards and in the corners. Today's Player of The Game award goes to Noah Hywarren # 4 for some awesome checking off the face off and Alexis Kostashuk # 8 for some great saves in net.
