Weekend Opener
HEART FILLED OPENING to the 2012/2013 season.
Congratulations to the Bantam AE team for two valid efforts in their opening weekend.
As we all know Whitby and Oshawa are well known for their size and strength.
Heart, determination and a stellar performances from both goaltenders Domenic Arthurs and Jaden Laurin played a significant roll in an honorable 5-3 loss in Friday's game against Whitby!
Honorable mentions go to Brody Howe providing two goals, Conner Broughton picking up a single and Kyle Thomson offering three assists.
Saturday's Home Opener against Oshawa also provided proof that with heart and determination any time can be shut down. Once again the Bantam AE team played with emotion holding back a strong and very large Oshawa team to a score of 0-0 going into the second period, falling short to an honorable 6-3 loss in the 3rd period.
Honorable mentions go to goaltenders Domenic Arthurs and Jaden Laurin for their persistance and determination. Goals were provided by Kyle Thomson, Brody Howe and Riley King. while Conner Broughton and Kevin Seabrook provide the helpers.
The Bantam AE team is excited with their start to the 2012 / 2013 season and is currently preparing for their upcoming game against Clarington on Saturday Oct 6th.
