Character Loss
After getting away from the game plan and crawling through a number of tough losses against Ajax, Belleville and Whitby the Bantam AE team put together a solid effort and against Belleville in last nights 8- 1 loss.
Holding the 5 man box in the defensive zone and moving pucks up the out side walls the Bantam AE's forced Belleville to earn this victory!
Sometimes as a coach I find it unfortunate that teams are often judged by what is displayed on the score board at the end of each game.
I believe it is important to recognize the passion, energy and emotion that every player put into each shift.
Being around the rink for over 40 years, I have had the pleasure of viewing this game from both sides of the ice and have often said "the view from behind the bench is very different from the view stands."
Over the passed number of games I witness this team struggle through line changes, injuries, suspension and lack of discipline, only to once again pull together and force our opponents to work for there victories.
Heading into Clarington the Bantam AE team is once again charged with new energy and ready to play as if this were game one!
