Midget BB Muskies Win Big in Midland....and Move onto International Silver Stick Tournament!!
Nov 30th–Dec 2nd was the scene for a dramatic and successful weekend for the Midget BB Muskies Hockey Team in Midland. In a Regional qualifier for the International Silver Stick Finals, the Midget Muskies competed in five games and were crowned champions after going undefeated for the entire tourney.

            Game one ended in a tie 1-1 against hometown favorites Midland, with Mitch Brown getting the tying goal.
Game two was a hard fought game against Barrie where the Muskies showed great
character coming from behind with 2 goals from Matt Flynn, a single from Logan
Stewart and the equalizer from Scott Clyne to end the game in a tie. Game three
against Owen Sound was a much better effort from Lindsay as they put out a
solid start to finish endeavor with the game winning goal coming off the soft
hands of Grant Thompson and singles from Mitch Naylor, Jacob Daynes and Hayden
Long. Score was 4-0. Shut out-Harris

The win in game three slotted Lindsay in first place and as a result, they faced off against Saugean Shores in the Semi Finals. The Muskies kept the pressure on for three solid periods and finished with a decisive 8–2 victory. Contributing to this win with goals were Hayden Long, Riley Jenkins, Scott Clyne, Brant Foster, Jacob Daynes, Brett Marshall and a pair from Logan Stewart.

In the finals, Lindsay was paired against Collingwood, which saw a back and forth battle with singles from Logan Stewart and Jake Daynes leaving the game tied at 2 each with only 4 minutes left in regulation time. After a beautiful faceoff win by Hayden Long on a set play the puck was put on the stick of Marcus Piggott where he went in alone on the goalie and put the Muskies in the lead with a score of 3–2. After some great defensive play for the remainder of the game the Muskies emerged victorious and qualified to go to the International Silver Stick Finals to be held in Sarnia Jan 18-20th. They will be competing against other Regional Champions from all over North America.

Goalies Adam Harris and Connor Thornton played a spectacular tourney and tournament MVP went to Mitchell Naylor.
