Playing host to Lindsay
As I've said before, it always interesting to see how a game plays out when it is two teams from the same center playing off against one another.  There are usually a lot of pent up frustrations between the players before the game starts because both sides want to assert their dominance due to knowing one another at school.

As all of the games between these two home town rivals, this was another closely fought game, with more penalties than either team would like to see.
The visiting Lindsay Black team opened the scoring just over midway through the first period on a power play, but :51 seconds later Teal tied the game with a beauty goal by Brock tossed into the near side top shelf.  Before the end of the period, Keagan would find himself an opportunity to pinch and pounce on a slow moving puck to wire one into the top corner of the net giving the home team the lead at 2-1 going into the 2nd frame.
just before the midway point of the 2nd period Black tied the game on another power play, and seemed to gain some momentum from that point as they were able to hem the home side in their own end for quite a bit of the rest of the period.  The score however stayed the same as Greg C made some awesome stops to help ensure that his team would not be down to start the 3rd period - at least on the scoreboard, they went into the flood down as man with a 4 minute penalty.
With the home side settling down as far as their penalties go in the 3rd period, it was Black's turn to start taking some penalties.  After escaping the 4 minute penalty without giving up a goal, Teal went on the power play halfway into the frame, and wasted no time in taking the 3-2 lead just :17 seconds into the infraction on  a goal by Kole.  To finish off the game, Jeff netted the home side's 4th goal of the game with just over 3 minutes remaining.
Midget Teal now will play a home game against one of the CYO teams on Tuesday, and finish off the 2nd half of the season with a late game on Saturday night in Whitby against the other CYO team, with scheduling for the playoffs to take place next Sunday morning.
