Home town battle once more
Its amazing how much easier it is to run a bench when there are enough players to have 2 lines and 3 defence to juggle about.

Its a time of year when the W's really mean the most, and to get those W's you need a combination of a lot of things, not the least of which is solid goal-tending, and fortunately we have that.  After that you have to have grit and determination, and the boys seem to have plenty of that as well, knowing full well that a couple of them will not be around for the final game of this round robin, they are doing what they can to try and make sure the game really doesn't mean anything in the standings as far as who will move on to play for the A championship.
Once again the first period was pretty tight, with only one penalty coming to the home Teal team.  In the second period it would be Brock opening the scoring the first goal of the game just 1:44 into the frame.  with nothing more than another single penalty to the home side, Teal would head to the dressing room knowing that they are going to have to work hard in the 3rd period to once again try to best their home-town rivals.
Coming out for the third period Teal was really looking for the next goal, thinking that if they could get that then they would be able to hang on for the W.  At Exactly the halfway mark of the 3rd period that desire would come true as Keagan picked up the puck in his own and, and somehow (no offence intended) was allowed to rush his way down the side boards all the way to the bottom of the circle where he let off a wrist shot that found the back of the net!  2-0 Teal!  With a little over a minute left in the game, Black pulled their goalie hoping to cut the lead in half again, but to their disappointment that backfired as Wil picked up his 2nd point of the game by getting the puck to Mike C to bury it in the empty net.  And finally to add insult to injury, Mike C and Brock teamed up once again, with Brock popping his second of the game to give the home squad a 4-0 W.
Next up Sturgeon comes south to face the Teal squad in what will be a battle of the top two so far in the round robin, with both teams now tied at 2-0-1.  GO MUSKIES GO!
