Playing flat
Riding the high of a shut-out win Sunday, Teal picked the wrong time to play flat in a game against Sturgeon for the lead in the playoff round robin.

Unfortunately though, there is not much that can be done when a team just doesn't have it in them to play to their full potential.
the first period was pretty smooth and uneventful, 2 penalties on the home side, and one for the visitors, but no scoring.  The scoring would not start until 5 minutes into the second period when the visitors would find the twine.  The score remained 1-0 into the flood.  The unfortunate side of things was that Teal received a 4 minute head contact at the end of the period, and would therefore start the game down a man, they would not play down a man for 4 minutes however as Sturgeon scored just 30 seconds into the period, and then with just under 10 minutes remaining they would hit the mesh again for a 3-0 lead.
About the only positives that were had in this game are the fact that Teal did break the shutout on a goal by Mike C with 5 minutes left in the game, and none of the Lindsay players ended up with any suspensions at the end of the game when things could very easily have gotten out of hand.
On to the next one tomorrow night as we visit the Lindsay Black team in our second last round robin game.
