Tyke Rep. Muskies Win First Round of Playoffs
The Tyke Rep Muskies came out on top of the quarter final round robin series, versus Quinte West and Peterborough White. The Boys also kept their undefeated streak alive at a healthy 21 games.
Feb. 15,16,and 17th was a busy few days for the team. On the 15th they beat Ptb. White at the Evinrude Centre in a thrilling 6-5 victory. The next day in Lindsay the boys won decisively against Quinte, 8-2. Then on the 17th with only 8 skaters and a goalie the Tyke Muskies traveled to Trenton to face Quinte and had a come from behind 3-3 tie. That clinched the series as they couldn't be caught on points, on the 21st The boys played Ptb. again and tied 3-3 but the outcome was already decided as even a loss would have seen Lindsay move on.
The Tyke Rep Muskies will face Pickering in the semi-finals and the winner will meet Whitby or Peterborough Maroon in the finals. Dates to be announced.
