Tough Loss to Even Up the Series
After beating the Manvers team all four times we had played them this year, we were reminded last night that they are a good team and they can beat us if we do not play well.  We were outworked in our own arena and lost by a score of 3-1 to even up the series.

We dominated the puck for most of the first period but despite having more chances, we went down by a score of 1-0.  The second period was much of the same.  They did not get many shots on net, but we were not able to generate our own chances to beat their goalie and they remained in the lead by a goal.

We finally woke up a little at the start of the third period.  Seth scored the tying goal on the power play (with an assist from Griffin), and it looked like we might push on for the win.  Unfortunately, our energy level went flat, we stopped skating hard and it cost us.  They scored a breakaway goal, and another when they crashed our net, to take the game by a final score of 3-1.

We have a practice on Sunday to work on a few things, then we will be back in Manvers on Tuesday night for Game 3.
