Rising to the Challenge
This past Sunday and Tuesday saw the Lindsay Teal Novice rise to the challenge like a hungry musky swallowing up its prey. Their teamwork was tremendous and their effort over the top. They are beginning to challenge for every rebound and finding an open teammate more and more. They came out with a well-earned tie versus the Dragons of Whitby and a decisive win over Mariposa. Against Whitby, Tyler Johnston played an exceptional game, playing whatever positions were asked of him and scoring a key goal. A dominating defensive performance was provided by Jonah Madsen, while Baylee Borges steadied and was the anchor for the ship.
It was Lukas Kennedy's turn to shine against Mariposa with his heads-up defensive work. Raymond Thurston's fine scoring touch was on full display again, while Ryan Peever provided some skillful stickhandling, along with tonnes of energy.
Tonight they had a great practice as the team looks forward to this weekend's Mariposa tournament. Keep improving!
