Shades of Brodeur
On Saturday February 7/15 The Mite Black Muskies traveled to Oshawa for an early morning game vs CYO. The Mite Black squad showed up ready to play with a fully dressed goaltender. Despite a 12-6 loss there was many bright points in this game. The Mite Black squad was able to stay close to the powerful CYO squad for most of the game, with some stellar back checking and great Martin Brodeur like goaltending by
Jake van Luik-Brohman # 9 in his goaltending debut.
The Mite Black Muskies were able to hold CYO to six fewer goals and score three more goals then their last contest with CYO. Evan Duncan # 12 with 2 goals, Abdul Alfahd # 10 with 3 goals and Gavin fyke with a single marker of his own provided all the offense for the Mite Black squad in the losing effort. Player of the game honours today goes to Sidney Wooldridge # 14 for his hard work on the back check and Jake van Luik-Brohman # 9 for his outstanding debut in goal for the Mite Black squad. Great work boys, thats the stuff Legends are made of.
