Tight To The Finish
The Mite Black Squad hosted the Woodville squad on February 14/15 at The LRC. Mite Black team seemed unfocussed for most of the game. The Woodville squad noticed this and took advantage of this, taking an early one goal lead. But with some great passing and team work the Mite Black squad was able to pull out the victory.
Nathan Wooldridge # 13 and Evan Duncan # 12 Lead the way with a Hat Trick each. Jake van Luik-Brohman # 9 added 2 goals of his own to the total. While Abdul Alfahd # 10 and Gavin Fyke # 11 continued their point streaks with a goal each of their own, to round out the tight 10-7 victory over the much improved Woodville squad. Congratulations goes out to the coaching staff from Woodville for a job well done!!!
Player of the Game honours today goes to Liam Williams # 7 for his effort stopping one of Woodville's third period scoring chances. And Evan Duncan # 12 for his great passing and positional play. Great Job guys!!! Mite Black be ready to play next week for the Battle of The Muskies Part # 3.
