Midget Muskies attend Jim Wilson Winter Classic in Orillia

The tournament ran from Nov. 6-9th in Orillia.
The weekend would see the Muskies in a pool with West Hill Golden Hawks, Scarborough and Toronto East Enders.


The first three games that the Midgets played were a round robin format. Lindsay won 2 out of the 3 games they played. The Muskies then advanced to the Quarter finals against Innisful after placing 4th of the 8 teams in the tournament. After successfully winning the quarterfinal game, the team moved on to the Semi Finals vs the Scarborough Ice Raiders who had previously bested Lindsay in round robin play.

Great job Midget Muskies for making it to the Semi Finals of the tournament.

Game #1 the Lindsay Muskies faced off against the West Hill Golden Hawks.While the Lindsay Muskies had some penalty issues, aquiring 9 minors during the game, they were successful in winning the match by a score of 3-2.
Goals for Lindsay were netted by Blake Abbott, Justin Amell and Dawson Bruce with the Assists going to Curtis Appleton, Liam Shanks and Caileb Duffy.

Game #2 the Muskies faced a little toughter competition in the Scarborough Ice Raiders. The Ice Raiders managed to keep the Muskies off the score board and won the match 3-0.

Game #3 was agiant the Toronto East Enders. After a very long wait in between games the Muskies competed well and won the match 5-1. Blake Abbott and Kyle Thomson each found the net for 2 goals in the game and Riley MacIver added one for the 5 goals. The lone Assist  wentto Riley Camp

Game #4 (Qtrs) The Lindsay Muskies took the ice against Innisfil. Playing well, the Muskies found the back of the net for 7 goals and kept Innisfils tally to 3.

Semi Final Game saw the Muskies facing off agiant the Scarborough Ice Raiders again. While Lindsay was able to put 1 goal up on the score board, the Scarborough team were successful in besting Lindsay with a 4-1 win.
