Tyke Division Champions

On Sunday March 20/16 The Tyke Black squad faced off against their home town rivals Tyke Teal in the Tyke Division championship at LRC. Teal jumped out to an early lead but Black was able to roar back and tie the game on a first period goal by
Jake Van Luik- Brohman # 9 assisted by Kade Keenan #18. But once again Teal got a late first period goal to put them up 2-1 going into the second frame.

Black then roared back and scored on another goal by Jake Van Luik- Brohman # 9 assisted by Gavin Fyke # 11. Jake Van Luik- Brohman # 9 then scored again to put Black on top 3-2 but Teal once again notched the tieing goal. Black would take the lead for good on a beautiful pass by Evan Duncan # 19 over the blueline to Emerson Lang # 16 to send him in all alone and notch the game winner and put Black up for good. Isabella Stuckey # 6 would notch her first career goal and Jake Van Luik - Brohman # 9 would notch another, while Teal could only power out one more tally in the 6-4 win for Black to clinch the Tyke Division Championship. Todays player of the Game went to Alexis Kostashuk # 10 for her awesome goaltending that kept Black in the game. Great way to end the year.! Your coaches and parents are all so proud of you!! Jack Cosgrove # 8 that one was for you buddy we missed you!
