Game 28 vs Brock
Thursday night the team travelled to downtown Cannington for the first half of a Home and Home series against the Brock Wild.
At this point the season series between these two teams was 5-0-1 in favour of our Muskies.

When our team came out of the dressing room to hit the ice...they appeared confident and focused and ready to battle.
At 7:05 the puck dropped and the confidence that our Muskies exuded carried over to their play on the ice as they controlled the play.
With just 18 seconds played in the game; Josh G. stole the puck from a Wild player and drove to the net.  He fired a wrist shot just past the hash mark and the puck caught a bit of the Wild net minders blocker before finding the back of the net.  1-0 Muskies!!!!
With 2:55 left to play in the 1st period, Tyler P. carried the puck up the left side in the neutral zone and passed it over to Jackson Q.
Jackson deked out a forward and a defenceman before firing the puck high over the blocker of the Brock goalie.  2-0 Lindsay!!!!
The 2nd period was again controlled by our Muskies and the defence of Jackson Q., Tyler N., Steven T. and Jack E. were tough on the Wild.  They controlled the break out of our own zone well and were very composed when Brock tried to put any pressure on them.
Our goalie tandem of Josh O. and Wes I., pushed aside any scoring chances that came their way and swallowed up all pucks and minimized rebounds.
Although there were no goals scored in the 2nd period, our forwards were more confident and moved the puck into the Brock zone with skill.
With 7:48 left in the 3rd period, Sammy T. fired a puck on net and the rebound went to Owen D. who fired it five hole.  3-0 Muskies!!!!!!
Brock managed to get one past us to narrow the lead to 3-1...however, this would be all that they could muster and Lindsay's confidence was too much for them.
The game began to get chippy as the frustrations mounted on the Wild side because they could not stop the Muskies from controlling the game with their passing, defence and speed.
When the buzzer sounded the Muskies were winners with a score of 3-1...bringing the season series to 6-0-1
Tomorrow night will be the second half of the home and home and also the final game of the regular season.
It may be fitting that the game will take place on the cursed Pad 2...our Muskies confidence will be in place and I anticipate a huge victory to close out the season and carry us into the playoffs.

GO MUSKIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
