On Oct.25/2017 The Novice BB Muskies would play their second game in back to back nights. This is a first for most of these Muskie Players in their young careers. The Muskies would travel to Newcastle to face an eager Stars squad seeking revenge from the previous weekend.
The game would end in a scoreless draw at the end of the first frame. Newcastle would break the goose eggs at 8:54 of the second period. The game was a physical back and forth matchup. The Muskies would Tie the game at 8:38 of the third frame on a goal from Evan Duncan # 12 from the point for his first of the season assisted by Gavin Fyke # 11 who has been on an iron man like point streak of his own. Newcastle would answer back five minutes later to regain the lead 2-1. The Muskies would not say die though and took it to Newcastle for the rest of the game. Newcastle would then take a slashing penalty followed by a bench minor with 1:43 left in the third. Lindsay would continue to attack but with no success. in the dying seconds The Muskies would pull their goalie to add another attacker to make it 6 on 3 but Newcastle's goalie would continue to shut the door to preserve the 2-1 victory. Warrior Of The Game Honours today go to Evan Duncan # 12 for his great defensive play and his first goal of the season. Great Job Evan keep up the good work !!!!!!!!!
