Catch & Release: Saturday's Hunting & Fishing Exhibition
With the scent of a new fish in their pond, the Coyotes sly hunting instincts kicked in immediately this past Saturday, when the Lindsay Muskies swam in to Ops to play an exhibition game against the Kawartha Atom team.

The Coyotes used their home ice advantage to put the pressure on the Lindsay Atom White team quickly into the 1st period, entering the game by putting their mark on the board on a fast breakaway. Devon Moynes #8 evened the score with an unassisted breakaway goal, but another breakout by Kawartha ended the 1st period, 2 goals to 1.

Early into the 2nd, the Coyotes pounced, scoring another and taking a 2 goal lead over the Muskies. At this point, Lindsay adjusted their strategies, and the gameplay switched to the Coyotes end. Ethan Thompson #6, who laced up his defensive skates for this game, kept a careful eye on the blue line and fought hard to help keep the puck out of the Lindsay end. Their push back paid off, earning them another goal midway through the period.

The 3rd period turned into an exciting battle for a rolling puck! The Muskies tried hard to hold onto their positions while the Coyotes played defensively, protecting their den from a skittering puck. The crowd was on their feet and cheers roared through the arena as the Muskies tied it up with only a little over a minute left to go in the game. Both teams battled hard in the corners to regain control, and another fast goal with only 47 seconds on the clock, assisted by Jaxson Leith #5, proved them a difficult fish to catch. 20 seconds after that, the Coyotes pack leader took advantage of the Muskies momentary comfortability of the time running down, ending the game in a 4-4 tie.

The Lindsay Muskies Atom White team faces the Manvers Mustangs on Monday, this time at home. Puck drops at 7:30pm!
