The Atom AE Muskies travelled to Nappanee on Sunday Jan. 20/19 to play the Stars in the first game of their playoff series. The Muskies would come out flying knowing they had beaten the Stars at the Silver Stick in Ayr.
Evan Duncan #12 would jump into the rush early and set Jack Golden # 19 up to take an early 1-0 lead Then Hayden Runge # 7 would score an unassisted marker to put the Muskies up 2-0 going into the second. The Muskies would out play the Stars for most of the second frame as well and go into the third with a 2-1 lead.
Hayden Runge #7 would add an early third period tally to put the Muskies up 3-1, before the Stars could score late in the third on a power play. The Muskies then shut the door on the Stars with some excellent goaltending all game long by Xavier Evans #29 to hold on to the 3-2 win. The Muskies return home for game 2 of the series Saturday afternoon at 1 pm at the LRC. Come out and cheer on the Atom AE Muskies as they go for win number 2 on Saturday at home and try to end the series Sunday in game number 3 in Nappanee. Fear The Fish!!!!!!!!!!!
