13th Annual Lincoln Blades AE Tourney
After 2 months of exhibition games due to being eliminated from the playoffs in the first round The Atom AE Muskies would travel to Niagara to take part in The 13th Annual Lincoln Blades AE tourney.
On Friday March 29/19 The Muskies would face The Tavistock Titans and would start off well going up 2-1 on the Titans but it would be all Titan's from there as they would respond with 6 unanswered goals and walk away with a
7-2 victory. On Friday afternoon the Muskies would come to play and would come out on the top end of a goaltenders battle with a 3-1 victory over the Simcoe Warriors. Even with this win it would put the Muskies in a tight spot heading into Saturday's contest against the host Lincoln Blades. The Muskies would battle hard with a very good Lincoln squad and walk away with a 1-1 tie. The Muskies would then need Simcoe to beat a tough Titan's squad to hope for a birth into the Semi Finals on Sunday. The Muskies would stay and cheer on Simcoe who played an incredible game but would fall 1-0 to the Titan's squad and as a result would be eliminated along with the Muskies.
It was an awesome season with the Atom Muskies AE team. The parents, grandparent and coaching staff would like to wish you all good luck in tryouts and in the rest of your hockey careers. Even though your hockey careers will take us in all in different directions, we will always have the fond memories of this season and will forever have that victory in Niagara as 2018 Harvest Classic champions to bond us for life.
Thank you to all the staff for an incredible year, there are no words to thank you enough for all you have done for our children this season. Job well Done!!!!!!!!!!!!
