Muskies vs Mariposa White: Round 1
And another one ties, and another one ties; another team ties the game! The score was neither Black nor White when the Mariposa crew travelled to Lindsay on the morning of Sunday Oct.21 and left with a tie game and a point each, 1-1.

Another tie was the last thing that the Atom Black team was aiming for when they hit the ice in the first period. In true Muskies fashion, forwards Sydney Purdy #2 and Maxx Cavanagh #10 hustled hard in the 1st, searching for a lane and watching for opportunities.  Eventually an one presented itself, as Muskies centreman Drake Robinson-West #9 rushed down the outside with the puck, and knowing he couldn't make it from his angle, passed it up to Devon Moynes #8 who was perfectly positioned in the low slot and took the shot, scoring the first and what would be the only goal of the game for his Atom Black team.

Both teams fought hard in the 2nd period with lots of exciting end to end play. Jaxson Leith #5 tried everything to gain control of the puck as fans in the stands ooo-d and ahhh-d when pucks skittered and bounced passed both goalies. Everyone sat on the edge fo their seats in anticipation of that next goal, but with Nathan Wooldridge #17 and his defensive teammates pushing the shots to the outside, alongside some amazing saves from Muskies goaltender Seth Knight #29, the clock wound down and that next goal never came.

Into the 3rd, the Muskies seemed hesitant on picking up loose pucks and the tension finally broke at midway when the White Lightning chopped at the rebound, finally getting one through on goaltender Alexis Kostashuk #1, adding one to the board for their team.  With only a few moments left in the game, both Mariposa and the Muskies battled hard to clinch the win but neither was able to make it happen, and the game ended in a 3rd straight tie in a row for the Atom Black team.

Congratulations Seth Knight #29 for receiving the AtoMc Golden Moments Player of the Game Award for your solid attention to the puck and the play infront of you!
