Three-peat: Muskies Shut Out the Woodville Hurricanes
The Lindsay Muskies Atom Black team were on the road again the afternoon of Sunday Nov.11th when they accomplished a 3 game shut out streak with a 4-0 final score win over the Woodville Hurricanes.

The Muskies hit the ice strong early in the 1st period as Graham Thompson #3 quickly put a mark on the board for his team. The Hurricanes blew past Lindsay in the neutral zone with multiple 2 on 1 opportunities but were shut down short of the net with some fast skating and quick puck clearing from Isabella Stuckey #12. Muskies Nathan Wooldridge #17 held his defensive position as Woodville fought hard to get a shot at the Lindsay net. Anything that managed to sneak past their defenses, Lindsay goaltender Seth Knight #29 made sure nothing was getting past him. Near the end of the period, Corbin Allison #4 picked up the puck and sank it far behind the Hurricanes’ goalie as they entered the 2nd period, 2-0 Muskies.

The next 10 minutes of the game brought with it battles at the boards; Maxx Cavanagh #10 and Devon Moynes #8 worked tirelessly at digging the puck out in attempts to regain control of the play. Lindsay carefully guarded the offensive zone, but Woodville eventually pushed the puck back up into the neutral zone where Chase Boutin #6 stopped it, passed it along the boards to his teammate who then put it out front to Isaac Stuckey #15 and with a hard shot, it found its way past the Hurricanes’ net minder. Into the 3rd period, Sydney Purdy #2 showed her strength with some great fore-checking, trying to create another opportunity for her team. Woodville’s defensive game only grew stronger as the clock ticked away and the Muskies had a difficult time setting things up late in the game. Shots were deflected to the corners as the Hurricanes goalie stood on his head to stop them. Then, as the game was about to end, Sydney Purdy #2 raced back after a loose puck that she sent to Andrew Shows #7, who passed it up to Drake Robinson-West #9, and as he wheeled around he took the shot scoring the final goal of the game.

Congratulations Isabella Stuckey #12 at earning the AtoMc Golden Moments Player of the Game award for your once again stellar defensive efforts!
