A Great Run
On Saturday February 29th/20 The Atom BB Muskies would travel to Collingwood to face off against The Blackhawks in game one of their All Ontario Semi-Final series. The Muskies would come out flat and pay the price as they dropped game one to the Blackhawks to the tune of a score of 5 to 3.
On Sunday March 1st/20 The Muskies would be back home in front of a packed house to host game number two. The Muskies would score early in the first on a goal by Gavin Fyke #11 and would hold that lead until late in the third when the Black hawk's scored in the last minute of play to force overtime. In Overtime Hayden Runge # 7 would score to tie the series at one game a piece.
The Muskies would be back on the road to Collingwood to play game number three Friday March 6th/20 at 7:10 pm The Muskies once again were not their usual selves on the road and it proved costly as they fell to The Blackhawk's 3 to 1 and were headed home for game four on Saturday down two games to one.
On Saturday it would be all Blackhawk's for most of this one until the Muskies took a late third period charge on the scoreboard and were able to pull within one until penalty trouble put it out of reach late in the third with the Blackhawk's capitalizing and downing the Muskies 5 to 3 and ending The Muskies All Ontario Dreams.
Great Season Team!! This is one that you will remember for the rest of your lives. Be Proud of yourselves!!
