SEASON OPENER HAS FINALLY ARRIVED
The start of the regular season is finally here. Training camp has finally come to a close!The coaching staff has skated the players hard, working on getting the players into shape, working on their skills and learning the system. The team looks to be well balanced with a good mix of skill, speed, size and grit with a great work ethic. They will be an entertaining bunch that will have the crowd buzzing all year.
Last Friday, the Muskies knocked the rust off in an exhibition game against rival Mariposa Lightning. Center #87 Issac Minor potted 2 goals to give the Muskie faithful a glimpse of what to expect this season and Defenceman #15 Nathan White banked one off a Lightning defender to round out the scoring as the game ended in a 3-3 draw. The Muskies showed great teamwork, speed and skill and are itching at the chance to get the regular season started Saturday at the Lindsay Rec Complex against the Newcastle Stars. Come out and cheer on your Muskies! FEAR THE FISH!
