Fish Keep Eagles Grounded
On Sunday October 21/19 the Lindsay Muskies travelled to Ennismore to take on the Eagles. The loser of the game was going to be tasting defeat for the first time this season.

The Muskies came out rather flat in opening period struggling to move the puck and get it out of their own end. As the period wore on Lindsay began to find themselves and began moving the puck and putting pressure on the Eagles. In the final minute of the period winger #80 Nick MacDuff found himself doing the dirty work in front of the Eagles netminder and banged in a rebound to open the scoring.

The Eagles came out flying to start the second period quickly putting one into the back of the Muskies net to tie the game up. The quick goal against seemed to fire up the Muskies. Despite some penalty trouble, the team took over the period with their speed and skill highlighted by center #87 Isaac Minor showing off his filthy mitts scoring back to back goals to put the Muskies up 3-1. Minor then sprung D-man #15 Nate White in on a shorthanded breakaway to put the black and teal up 4-1. The Eagles would come back to score to make it 4-2 before the period was up but it was all Muskies from there.

In the third period #9 Dylan Aspden banked one in off an Eagles defender, #90 Corbin Allison came off the bench and headed straight to the net just in time to bury the loose puck and #8 Colton Lytle came flying down the wing on a 2 on 1 and beat the Eagles netminder for a final score of 7-2. The game was highlighted by the hard work the team showed on the penalty kill. Players like #97 Gavin Bell, #91 Jack Fagan and #6 Keegan Avery helped continue to pressure and limit the Eagles while down a player. Great job Muskies! Next up for the Fish is a home date with the Mariposa Lightning Friday October 25/19 at the Lindsay Rec Complex at 5:30. GO MUSKIES GO!!!!!!!!
