Star of the Show
On Sunday October 27/19 the Muskies travelled to Millbrook to take on the Stars in their brand new arena. The Fish were looking to bounce back from their poor showing in their previous game. After a tough skate at Saturday mornings practice the players were looking to prove to Coach Ruston and Coach Fagan they got the message.

The Muskies came out firing from the opening faceoff. The players showed a renewed sense of teamwork with great puck movement, getting everyone involved. The team played sound defence in their own zone and pressured hard in the offensive zone, outshooting the Stars 36-23.

Tenacious winger #19 Kennedy Phillips had a stand out performance, leading her team with a hat trick and playing a pivotal role at both ends of the ice. #87 Isaac Minor added to his impressive season, scoring 2 goals and tacking on 2 assists. #90 Corbin Allison, who peppered the Stars goalie all afternoon, scored on a short handed break away and #8 Colton Lytle battled and found the back of the net to round out the scoring for the Fish. #6 Keegan Avery added 2 assists while #80 Nick MacDuff, #14 Chuck Baxter and #15 Nate White all had 1 apiece. Goaltender #29 Charlie Ruston had a stellar performance between the pipes, stopping 21 of 23 shots in the 7-2 victory.

The Muskies look to stay hot when they pay a visit to the Kawartha Coyotes at Ops Arena on Wednesday October 30/19. The puck drops at 6:30. FEAR THE FISH!!!!!
