Bottled Up The Lightning
On Tuesday November 26 the Muskies would head to Little Britain to take on their biggest rival Mariposa Lightning. In 4 meetings this season each team has a win, a loss and a pair of ties. This game would decide the season series.

The Fish came out of the gate flying, utilizing their speed against the bigger Lightning players. The Muskies would play a great team game with great passing and phenomenal backchecking. #87 Isaac Minor would get the Fish on the board in the first on an unassisted breakaway. #29 Charlie Ruston was without a doubt the first star of the game as he turned aside shot after shot to maintain the 1-0 lead until  halfway through the second when #8 Colton Lytle would give the Fish some insurance with an breakaway goal of his own. From there the Lightning netminder would join Charlie Ruston in putting on a goaltending clinic, both making incredible save after incredible save. The Lightning would pull their goalie and put tons of pressure on the Muskies but they just couldn't solve the white hot Ruston as he posted his third shutout of the year in the 2-0 victory.

A big shoutout to #19 Kennedy Phillips who dropped back to defence for the huge game to fill in for injured defenceman #9 Dylan Aspden. Phillips helped the rest of the defence lock down the Lightning's group of talented forwards. Great job Kennedy!

Next up for the Muskies is a trip to the Eagles Nest in Ennismore on Saturday November 30 at 1:15pm. Come out and cheer on your favourite Fish!!!!
