On Monday Jan. 3/22 The U13 Lindsay Muskies BB squad would travel to Fenelon Falls to face the Sturgeon Thunder. The Muskies would be without grinding forward Kennedy Phillips # 9 who was placed on Covid Protocol by league rules. As the game progressed it would prove The Muskies could have benefitted from Phillip's grit.
The Muskies would open the scoring in the first on the powerplay When Evan Duncan #12 found Hudson Vokins #98 in the slot to put the Muskies in the lead 1-0.
The Muskies would add even Strength Markers in the 2nd frame on Goals by Patrick Dowdall #88 and Ethan Yurick #17 to put the Muskies up 3-0.
The Thunder would get on the game sheet other then the penalty column at 12:54 of the third to narrow the gap to two goals. But Colton Lytle # 8 would leave the Thunder defense in the dust when he split the Defense and stepped over the blueline and buried a shot top shelf where grandma keeps the peanut butter, to make it 4-1. Patrick Dowdall # 88 would then tally again to finish off the 5-1 victory over the distraught Thunder squad.
