Introducing the New '22-'23 LMHA Development Program
The Lindsay Minor Hockey Association is proud to introduce a Program Development series for LMHA players, goalies, & coaches beginning September 2022

This programming is included in each LMHA participant’s registration fees for the season with NO added costs.

 

All LMHA Coaches are strongly encouraged to be on ice during these sessions (please contact LMHA Program Development Director, Murray Lathem, to discuss which sessions you will be attending as a Coach [email protected] )


The LMHA Program Development Series initiated will be in 3 segments:  

Skating Skills, Goaltending Skills, & Coach Development

 



Skating Skills Instruction

 

Vanessa Crone of Vanessa Crone Hockey

  • Former Olympic Skating Champion who competed in the 2010 Olympic Games in Vancouver 

  • Vanessa’s experience ranges across various organizations since 2012, working with coaches & players across Canada, USA & Europe. Many of her players have been selected to the OHL, NHL, ECHL,KHL and more.

  • “Figure skating is my professional background, with hockey played for fun. But I realized there were definitely crossover skills. I aim to take my skills developed over 20+ years of high level training and transfer them effectively to hockey” (Vanessa)

 




Goaltending Skills
Instruction 

 

Absolute Goaltending and Matthew Bourgeois

  • Matt is a certified Level 3 Goalie Instructor through the NCCP program

  • His involvement ranges from the Goalie Development program with Hockey Canada through to the OJHL, CIS, & KHL

 

 


The Coach Development Program

 

Coaches Hot Stove with Murray Lathem, LMHA Director of Program Development

  • Murray brings years of elite & high performance coaching experience across all levels and combined with Guest Speaker appearances will provide invaluable information & teaching opportunities to our coaches as they move forward through LMHA

  • Monthly gatherings are designed to create a coaching support community within our organization to discuss topics of teaching concepts, system work, drill design, & more

 

 

Hours for on ice instruction and dates for the Coaches Hot Stove meetings will be announced in September.


 

These individuals bring incredible amounts of instruction & gameplay knowledge to our association. With a strong emphasis on skill development, LMHA will lead the way in core skill growth & success with this exciting new initiative!


This Development Series begins September 2022 & ice times are already scheduled!
