Display of Sportsmanship
Sunday Feb 23rd, White Mites were on a roll, and didn't let up.  There were thought out passes, careful stick handling, control of the puck during face-offs and positional play.  Players took the cue from their coaches and trainers as they headed out onto the ice to the position they were to play.  A win for White who led the entire game increasing the lead in every period.  White were focused and had the edge on Sturgeon Black this game.  Goalie #13 Sam Sawchuck had his first shutout - way to go Sam!

Sturgeon demonstrated an incredible display of sportsmanship.

This is a team that were pushed to their limit and though defeated, maintained the same level of effort and positive outlook throughout the game.  This team set an important example for our players!  Lindsay White Coaches used this as an opportunity to teach players also about the importance of good sportsmanship as the winning team, displaying appropriate and gracious behaviour after a win (regardless of the score) and understanding that outscoring by so many is not encouraged - Listening to your coaches is!  Keep up the hard work!

The player of the game was #2 Nolan Butler - Awesome job Nolan!
