PeeWee Teal, 2018-2019 (Lindsay Minor Hockey)

Sunday March 24 at 12pm the Peewee Teal Muskies met Grimsby for a Semi-Final Playoff game. The Muskies were pumped after having played so many great games this far in the tournament. Without the game sheet and some time having passed, I don't remember what players did the scoring for us. Grimsby was able to score first, the first goal scored against the Muskies the entire tournament and the team was visibly deflated. Grimsby capitalized on this and were able to sneak a few more in. It wasn't until the 3rd period that the Muskies regrouped and started to score a few, even with this late game ...

Game 3 was on Saturday March 23 at 4pm against the home team Ayr Flames. The Muskies scored first  with 2:35 remaining in the 1st and never looked back. We scored 3 more in the 2nd and 2 in the 3rd period winning the game 6 - 0. This would be shut out #3 of the tournament for the Muskies Goalie Aidan G! Game sheet records of who scored the goals is incorrect according to the team, but player of the game went to #8 Jack T for his determination and all around great effort! The Muskies finished in 1st place in our pool, advancing to the semi-finals on Sunday!

Saturday morning game 2 vs Lincoln had the Muskie players in great spirits and a few tired parents in the stands... still rocking the Muskie Jerseys for support! The Muskies scored early and often in the first 2 periods of the game, as the players have reminded me the game sheet record of who actually scored the goals may be a little off, we know that #4 Ross K netted himself 2 and the team was working hard to get him the hat trick! Between goals and assists we saw #10 Jake Z, #9 Caleb D, #16 Kevin Y, #18 Carsyn E, #14 Will S, #2 Ethan S and #4 Ross K. #1 Aidan G earned himself a second shut ...

Peewee Teal traveled to Ayr March 22 - 24 for the Ayr Hockey Challenge. Game 1 kicked off Friday afternoon with a group of pumped up Muskies on the ice and their fans wearing jerseys in the stands! The Muskies came out hard and fast dominating most of the game against a rough team from West Grey. The Muskies were a bit shaken following a 4 minute head contact penalty and many dirty rough checks into the boards from West Grey but never gave up. The one and only goal of the game, the game winning goal was scored by #9 Caleb D assisted by #18 Carsyn E late in the 3rd period. Our goalie #1 Aidan ...

Tuesday March 19 Durham Blue came to the LRC for the 2nd exhibition game, and the trip was well worth it for them! Durham came out hard and the Muskies couldn't shake the post-March Break drowsiness! Durham scored 4 in the first period and 3 in second period. Goalie #1 Aidan G was doing all he could from the splits to amazing glove saves! Coaching staff revived the Muskies during the flood telling them to go out, skate and have fun!
