Lakeshore Partners, members of the Clarington MHA Clarington Toros are asking you to keep one of our young players in your thoughts as he starts his battle with a very tough opponent.
Marcus
Baksh , a player on the CMHA Clarington Toros Minor Bantam A team was
diagnosed with cancer this past Thurs, he has already had surgery and
has started chemotherapy.
The Minor Bantam A team and the CMHA Toros are arranging several events to support Marcus and his family including a family
skate fundraiser which is being held on
Saturday Feb 14th from 1pm to
3pm at Garnet B Rickard Pad A and as well as, encouraging donations to
Marcus's family.
Participants in the Skate must wear CSA approved helmets.
It should be a fun time for all as the OMHA is now bringing their shooting machine, members of the Clarington Eagles will be present, there will be a bake sale , raffle and opportunity for people to make cards for Marcus.
If members within your organization are interested in making an online donation to the Baksh family please go to the following link http://www.gofundme.com/marcusstrong
Also if your organization or its members would like to offer additional events in support of Marcus and his family please contact myself Karen Gregory
[email protected] or Christie Cafik CMHA Director @
[email protected] so we can assist you.
Thank you to everyone for your support.
It is wonderful to see our hockey community all come together to help a family in need.
Children should not have to battle cancer.
Its nice to see that Marcus is not battling alone.
The whole Clarington Toros organization and Lakeshore hockey partners are in his corner!!
Regards,
Karen Gregory
