Muskie DayDecember 10th. 2016
The goal of Muskie Day is to celebrate our organization and recognize the players, parents, coaches, managers, trainers, executive members and volunteers who make it successful. Each team will play on Muskie Day. The schedule, although subject to change is available on the website.

After each game all players, Muskies and Opponents, will be invited upstairs to the Muskie Pond for Pizza and Chocolate Milk. There will be no cost to the players for the food and the drink. Thank you to the Kawartha Milk Producers for supplying chocolate milk for all players. Music, courtesy of DJ Matt Avery will be playing upstairs. What a great way to hang out with your team and celebrate the game of hockey with your opponents. Please inform your opponents of the lunch arrangements, well in advance of the game.

In the lobby we will have many special features for you:

* Rob Murray, from Original Six Memorabilia will set up in the lobby running a silent auction for a wide range of sports collectibles. The perfect Christmas gift for those difficult to buy for

* Steve Turner, from Lindsay Sportsline will have a booth offering, toques, bags, hoodies, hats, skate mats etc. for purchase. Steve will also have more specific items such as personalized coats, sweaters etc. to be fitted and ordered. He has assured us that any orders will be ready for pickup prior to Christmas

* Elaine Midgely from Photographically Speaking will be taking actions shots all day. Action photos will be available for purchase throughout the day.

* We are asking that each team donates at least one prize (minimum 30$ value) for our silent auction. All proceeds will go to offset the cost of Muskie Day. Any remaining funds will be used to establish an account used to provide kids each year with the opportunity to play hockey

* Gently used Jerseys and socks will be available in the lobby as well. Jerseys will be $5.00 and socks will be free.

We will be forgoing gate fees, instead collecting non perishable food items as admission. Please support our local food bank entering the holiday season.

At 6:00pm we will be recognizing our sponsors, coaches, trainers, managers and volunteers in a “volunteer appreciation game”. Bring your team back to the rink to watch your coaches square off against one another. If you are interested in playing, please contact Jamie Stone at [email protected] to confirm. What a great way to thank the sponsors and volunteers who make playing hockey possible for all of our children.
