Moving forward
Submitted By MaryAnne Wooldridge on Tuesday, April 21, 2020
Hello All,

I hope this message finds all of you well.  I have agreed to assume the role of President for Lindsay Minor Hockey until the Annual General Meeting, tentatively scheduled for May 20th.  I first, would like to thank Peter Mitchell for his commitment to Lindsay Minor Hockey over the past 2 1/2 decades and wish him all the best.

Although much of our community, our country and our world is on hold, we are continuing to meet virtually to align, regroup and determine direction moving forward.

Lindsay Minor Hockey is certainly in a time of transition. I encourage all of us to look forward to bright days ahead.  We will strive to be transparent in our communication and in our goals and progress.

Our goals in the next few months are clear:
1)  Safely navigate our way through this global pandemic;  keeping the health and well being of our membership at the forefront of our decision making.
2) Ensure LMHA is in a sound financial position moving forward
3) Continue to work with Kawartha MInor Hockey and the OMHA to secure the partnership for this upcoming season.
4) Develop structures and monitoring mechanisms that will allow LMHA to prosper consistently into a leading organization in the future.

I would like to thank our current executive for all of the time, effort and thoughtfulness that has already gone into the securement of these goals.

Later this week we will be meeting with Kawartha Minor Hockey Executive Members to map our way forward towards a successful partnership.  We are committed to keeping all of you updated the best we can with this progress.

Until then, be safe, stay healthy and take care of yourself and others.

I am honoured and prepared to work with our current executive and membership to serve this great organization.   The same organization I played in as a young hockey player.  If you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to reach out to me.

Best,

Jamie Stone
