LMHA is looking to fill the position of Treasurer. We would like to thank Victoria Stewart for her assistance with this position over the last number of months.
The position/requirements of the Treasurer entails:
10.5.1 Shall have served at least one (1) year on the Executive or have held the same
or similar position with another Athletic or not for profit organization or are now
or have been employed as a financial officer or accountant in their personal
career before being nominated to the office of Treasurer. Before being
nominated to the office, a letter of confirmation must be received from the past
Athletic or not for profit organization being referenced and/or references
confirming past or present employment in the financial field.
10.5.2 Shall be the custodian of all books, papers, records, documents and other instruments belonging to the LMHA.
10.5.3 Shall pay all accounts by cheque, signed by himself/herself and the President, or any other officer as authorized by the Executive to countersign.
10.5.4 Shall keep an accurate record of all monies received and disbursed and report on same at each regular meeting.
10.5.5 Shall present a financial statement at the Annual General Meeting. The accounting records shall be reviewed annually by an independent auditor or a special committee formed for such a task that is acceptable to the Executive and voting membership.
