ONLINE REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN!


All participants must be registered & paid in full (or payment plan in place)

before stepping onto the ice for the season!


Register before June 30/2022 and avoid the $100 late fee!
(Ice time for each season is due & submitted to the city in June and is based directly on player numbers & anticipated number of teams at the time of the registration deadline, so please register your child early!)

  • LMHA requires additional information for first time registrations who are new to hockey in order to create a Participant Profile in the HCR (Hockey Canada Registry). 

  • Please complete the LMHA Pre-Registration Form and await confirmation from our Registrar BEFORE proceeding with the registration process.

  • At least 1 parent must also complete the online Respect in Sport course


NEW TO LINDSAY?

  • If your child was registered in another hockey centre, you will not be able to register with Lindsay Minor Hockey until a Player Transfer process with OMHA has been completed.

  • Please visit our Player Transfers page first for more information.

  • You must send a Request for Player Transfer Forms to our Registrar BEFORE proceeding with the registration process.

*Note: This process takes time to complete; it is advised to submit this request to start this process as soon as possible!


RETURNING PLAYERS:

  • Returning Players who were registered in 2021-2022: Proceed with the HCR Registration link below. You DO NOT need to complete the LMHA Pre-Registration Form!

  • Returning Players who were ABSENT (not registered) during the pandemic (2020-2022): Your birth certificate is required to avoid delays in team rostering! Please complete the LMHA Pre-Registration Form to resubmit your birth certificate to our Registrar.

PROGRAMMING:

  • Season Starts: Preskates & Tryouts at the Beginning of September with Games Starting in October

  • Season Ends: Middle to End of March

  • Blackout Dates: No League Games as per OMHA during the Christmas and March Breaks (Tournaments & some team activities may continue during these times)

  • U5 Future Muskies: Average 2 Ice times/week with a focused mix of skating skills, introductory hockey skills, and FUN!

  • U9 & Below: Average 2 Ice times/week with practices plus Three County Hockey League local league gameplay (some travel), and FUN jamborees & team tournaments!

  • U11-U18: Average 2 Ice times/week with practices plus either Representative level gameplay or Three County Hockey League local league level gameplay (both levels are travel), and team arranged tournaments & activities, etc

*A player’s age is determined by the age as of December 31st, 2022

**Fundraising Fees, Representative Level Tryouts Fees, Representative Level Registration Fees, and Individual Team Fees are NOT included in the above Registration Fees (see Additional Fees below)


LMHA FUNDRAISING FEE
:

  • Each participant will pre-purchase a set of fundraising raffle tickets for $100 that is added to their registration (you can sell these tickets to recoup this fee)

  • All teams are required to participate in fundraising throughout the season


ADDITIONAL FEES:

  • Representative Level Tryouts Fees ($40) will be due & collected at the time of tryouts

  • All tryouts will take place in the fall

  • Additional Representative Level Registration Fees ($200) will be due & collected upon notification of team selections after tryouts

  • Team Fees: any fees required per the team, over & above registration fees, that are determined by the team manager/coach after teams have been created. 

    • Team Fees may be requested by managers/coaches from all age groups (U5 - U18) and levels of play (both LL & Rep)

    • Amounts are based on each individual team’s budget needs for the season and collected from parents typically immediately after team creation, ahead of fundraising & sponsorship efforts. 

    • Money collected is used to secure tournaments, book team building activities, order practice jerseys, and pay game officials (referees & timekeepers)*, etc. 

    • Participation in Team Fundraising is a crucial part of a team’s ability to cover these costs and minimize Team Fee costs to parents.

DISCOUNTS:

  • Families with 3+ participants registered from the same household and home address are eligible for a $150 discount on the 3rd & consecutive participants registered


FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE:

If applying for financial assistance: 

  • You must apply as early as possible

  • Notify the Registrar & Treasurer by email of your application

  • And please follow up on your application status (confirmation email required)


If assistance has not been received by the start of programming, you will be required to pay the registration amount in full.
 Once funding has been received from the financial assistance provided, a refund will be issued to you.

NOTE: Fundraising fees are not covered by financial assistance and must be paid upfront on registration

DEREGISTRATION FEE:

If a participant chooses to register & then deregister prior to the start of the season, a $100 administration fee will be charged
