The Peewees entered the Chevrolet Good Deeds Cup for a chance at winning 100,000 to donate to a charity of their choice!  They spent Saturday December 7th doing their good deeds, learning the importance of supporting the community and how rewarding it is to be able to make a difference in the lives of others! The day began at Caressant Care where the Muskies spent time with the residents decorating cookies and chatting.  It didn't take long for....... 

Friday the Peewees faced North Durham in game one taking the victory.  Game two against Midland put them to the test and through perseverance, teamwork and solid goal tending the Muskies defeated the Centennials. Heading into day 2, spirits were high and despite the effort, came up short against Orillia.  Unfortunately 2 wins and the calculated percentages were not quite enough to carry the team into the finals - by less than a percent!  Though disappointed not to move on, the team had great success overall!  Each and every player should be proud of themselves and one other!  

Last weekends Jim Wilson GMC Winter Classic in Orillia, the Peewees demonstrated teamwork and determination winning their first 3 games of the tournament against the Greater Toronto Capitals, Collingwood Blackhawks and Milton Winterhawks.  Fast paced and exciting games for the fans!  The Muskies took that same attitude into the semi finals against the Barrie Colts, drove them to the limit but ultimately were defeated 1-0 in yet another incredibly exciting game.  What an amazing weekend of hockey, excellent job Muskies!

Its been a very busy couple weeks for the Peewees beginning with last weeks home game victory against Durham followed by the Milk tournament in Prince Edward County over the weekend.  They went into the tourney strong and won game 1.  Disappointing losses were the teams fate for games 2 and 3 and even though they made a comeback for game 4, it wasn't enough to secure a place in the finals.  Back to face Mariposa this week, the muskies kept it together and came away with the win 1-0 and are lacing up again for Friday nights game against the Ennismore Eagles.
