Losing Streak Ends at home
The Muskie Peewee AE had a tough home and home series with Clarington before coming home and earning their third league win of the season.

Lindsay hosted the Toros on Saturday afternoon. Clarington came to win and scored quickly off the first face off. The Muskies seemed to be unmotivated and not prepared to play their game against  this very beatable team from Clarington. Clarington scored what would be the winning goal in the first period..  Tyson scored the only Lindsay goal early in the second period. Clarington would score four more before going home.

Lindsay traveled to Clarington for the rematch on Sunday afternoon. Clarington came out hard again and scored very early in the first period, this goal would prove to be the only goal needed as Lindsay was kept off the score sheet. Although Gavin played another great game between the pipes, making several saves, he unfortunately let in eight. This was a game that the boys seemed to be out of by the end of the first period. They had again forgot what they had learned and there was a lot of selfish hockey being played by many. The coaching staff was frustrated by team game during this weekend series as they do know that this team has potential and the ability to beat teams when they play together and stay with the gameplan.

The Muskies hosted the Panthers from Pickering on Tuesday night. The boys seemed determined to win on this night. The first period ended with no score as both teams seem to sizing each other up. Jared gave Lindsay the lead early in the second period when his shot from the circle beat the goalie. Cole scored the winning goal in the second period after taking a pass from Jared. Pickering scored early in the third but that was the only puck that they were able to get past Gavin, who had another solid game in net. Max's slapshot from the point beat the goalie and provided some insurance for the Muskies.

This game was a much better effort. There was a lot of team effort and very little selfish play. Although Pickering was seemingly getting frustrated and chippy late in the game,  the Muskies did not retaliate and stayed with the game plan. The coaching staff was happy about the win and saw positives in the game, however, there is still some small areas that need to be improved.

The Muskies will work on these areas at practise on Friday before they head to Belleville to battle the Bulls on Saturday night.
