Road trip continues.
The Peewee AE Muskies were in Whitby on Wednesday night to battle the Wildcats and travelled to Ajax on Thursday.

The first game of the road trip proved tough for the Muskies. Although Brayden scored in the first minute of the game to take the lead, it would prove to be the only goal scored. The Muskies struggled to gain puck possession and to clear the puck from there end. The score was tied at the end of the first but Whitby really pressured in the second and scored four. The wildcats would get another two in the third period. This was a game that the Muskies really struggled, the boys were not playing as a team. Gavin had an outstanding game in goal stopping over twenty shots. The boys took this lose as a learning experience and moved forward.

The second game saw the boys travel down the 401 to Ajax for a tilt against the Knights. This game seemed to be a coming out for the team in what may have been their best three periods of hockey all season. Ajax scored first but Jacob picked up a rebound and found the back of the net in the second and again early in the third. Ajax tied in up in the third while the Muskies were shorthanded. The Knights scored another goal in the third after a missed off side call. Spencer brought the Muskie within one late in the third. With a liltte over a minute left Gavin was pulled and the extra attacker was added. With the extra man on the ice the Muskies were pressuring hard and had a lot of chances. Unfortunately they were not able to put one more past the goalie before the buzzer went. The coaching staff was extremely happy with the play of all players. Everyone played aggressive and never gave up. Gavin Gregory again was amazing between the pipes and Ryan Trennum showed speed that we have not seen before. This game was clearly the best the team has played together all year.

The boys hope to continue with the positive game play and full team effort as the road trip continues. They will face off  against Uxbridge Stars on Saturday afternoon and they then the roll into Port Perry on Sunday night to play the Predators.
