On Saturday March 12/16 The Tyke Black Muskies hosted the Mariposa Lightning squad at the LRC. With the day off to a rocky start with no timekeeper in the building. Tyke Black Had their regular goalie Alexis Kostashuk # 10 and Jack Cosgrove # 8 The British Bulldog out of the line up on holidays, along with the absence of Head coach Peter Brohman and Head trainer Bo kostashuk and the entire line up seem to be a little under the weather with flu and cold symptoms running through the dressing room.
Tyke Black got off to a sluggish start but managed to keep pace goal for goal for the most part with Mariposa. It wasn't until late in the third frame that Black was able to pull ahead. Jake Van Luik-Brohman # 9 (AKA old faithful) lead the way with The Hat Trick and an assist. Evan Duncan # 19 continued his playoff scoring streak with a goal and an assist. Emerson Lang # 16 and Gavin Fyke # 11 rounded out the scoring with assist going to Kade Keenan # 18 and Andrew Shows # 7 to seal the 6- 3 victory over Mariposa. Isaac Stuckey # 29 did a great job filling in for our goalie Alexis Kostashuk # 10 along with his entire defense core lead by the heart felt effort of Max Carson # 4 who was battling the flu bug all week. Andrew Shows # 7 was a steal curtain on the point keeping the puck in the offensive zone for most of the game, earning himself Player of The Game Honours. Great Job Black take it to Teal next week!!!!!!!!!!!!
