Game7: vs Ennismore
Submitted By Pat Davis on Tuesday, October 30, 2018
Tuesday October 30th our boys were back at home to host the Ennismore Eagles.
After 3 road games with 3 tough results...our Muskies were hoping that the safe confines of the Lindsay Rec Centre would bring them some luck and refocus.

The puck dropped at 7:45 and the first meeting between these two teams was officially on.
Lindsay took control of the play right off the hop and held the puck in the offensive zone and continued to put more and more pressure on the Eagles defence.
Our boys managed to get plenty of shots on net but the Ennismore goalie managed to keep the rubber out and swallowed the puck up and limited any potential rebounds.
With 6:48 left to play in the 1st...Owen D. took the puck up the left wing and passed it to Wyatt M. who broke up the middle.  Wyatt made a perfect pass to Josh G. who was racing up the right wing...Josh carried the puck into the offensive zone and beat the defence before cutting in on the goalie and sliding the puck under his pads.  1-0 Lindsay!!!
Lindsay continued to pressure the Eagles with strong possession and control.  The Ennismore goalie and defence continued to work hard and kept the score close until the buzzer went to end the 1st.
The Muskie fans in the crowd were getting a little nervous with the game being so close at the end of one period as our boys couldn't seem to solve the Ennismore goalie to get the second tally which would have provided some nice breathing room,
With 9:44 left to play in the 2nd Jackson Q. fired the puck on net from the point and the rebound found its way to Wyatt M. who buried it into the open side.  Lindsay 2-0!!!
Our 2nd goalie seemed to rattle the Eagles goalie and defence and our Muskies continued pressure was too much for them to handle.
Tyler P. would go on to net two goals on the night with one helper to give him a 3 point evening.
Owen V. and Jackson Q. would each net a goal to add to the Lindsay score.
Josh G. would add one more to give him 2 on the night and Wyatt M would finish our Muskies scoring with a goal with only 28 seconds left in the game!  As well, Wyatt would pick up an assist on Owen V. goal to give him a 4 point night.
Max W. would finish the night with 3 helpers...Landin M. ended the night with an assist on a fantastic pass to Wyatt M. on the final goal of the night.
Last but not least, Stevie T. would pick up his first point of the season with a great feed on Owen V.'s goal in the 2nd period.
Ennismore managed to get a couple of squeakers past us but our defence of Jackson Q., Landin M., Jack E., and Tyson N. proved too much for their offence.
The shots they did manage to get on net were set aside or swallowed up by Justin M. who was nearly perfect on the night with some fantastic stops.
It was good to be back home and it gave the team a bit of a confidence boost that was much needed at this point in time.
The final score:  Muskies 8  Ennismore 2
Next game we are back on the road to face the Newcastle Stars in downtown Newcastle Saturday November 3
