Lead in the skates
Even though team Teal was skating like they had lead in their skates, somehow they still managed to leave the rink with another win in the books.

This was one of those games that can be very hard to watch after seeing the way the team handles some of the other more difficult teams in the league.  With only 2 lines for the night it was a night that the boys should have been pumped for, skating high energy and short shifts; but its hard to convince teenage boys that that is what they need to do.  The first period saw teal take the 1-0 lead on a goal by Liam, but that was all the first would yield...not even a penalty was had by either team in the first.  In fact, it wasn't until 5 minutes into the 2nd period that both teams ended up with a penalty.  And then finally 9 minutes into the frame Keagan was able to fire a puck past the net-minder for his first goal of the season, to have Teal take a 2-0 lead into the flood.  Even as the boys skated off the ice looking at the scoreboard they too knew that the score should be a lot better than it was showing.
The 3rd period again was nothing much to brag about, especially the goal scored by Woodville that no one really knows how it ended up in the net, but hey, that's hockey, stranger things happen.  It stayed at the 2-1 score until 5:10 remaining in the period when Brock was able to slip one in to make it a little easier to breathe.  the final goal of the game came just 11 seconds later when Mike P was able to slide the puck through the 5 hole.
Final score of the game, 4-1 for Lindsay.  Hopefully they show up with a little better momentum on Thursday night when they face Kawartha Red in OPS, again with a short bench due to work and other issues.
