Much better game from the start
The Home Teal team came out to play tonight.  Right from the opening face-off you could see that they were going to be more into this game than they were in game #1.

Unlike game #1 when Teal was pretty much dominated in the first period, they turned the tables and became the ones to dominate the play more.  And that work ethic payed off as Wil and Jeff teamed up to get the puck to Brock to open the scoring with 2:31 remaining in the period.
The second period started out much the same way that the first did, with Lindsay taking the play to Sturgeon, and once again the hard work payed off as Brock was able to break free and get yet another of his "patented" breakaway goals to put the home side up 2-0.  Less than 5 minutes later it was Mike C's turn to take the pass from Brock and Jeff and convert on his chance, to make the score 3-0.  The Sturgeon team din't give up though, they kept battling hard and were finally rewarded for their hard work by putting one past the Lindsay net-minder with just over 5 minutes remaining in the period.  The score however would remain 3-1 for the home side going into the flood.
The third period saw the home squad play a bit more of a defensive style of hockey, dumping the puck into the offensive end a lot more and working to keep it there, and once again their hard work and effort was rewarded by not giving the Thunder any real good chances to get back into the game.  The game would end in a 3-1 win for the Teal squad.  Game #3 will now tale place in Bobcaygeon on Monday night where the visiting Teal team could, with a win, end their season with the top prize of the 'A' division championship.
