Time to move them around
It turned into one of those games.  Those games when you know you have to do something to try and slow things down so that although the game is a blowout it's not a completely ridiculous one.

The first period saw the boys in Teal start quickly, getting the first goal before the 3 minute marker, followed by another goal 3 minutes later.  By the time the 3rd goal of the period came with just over 2 minutes remaining in the 1st, you had a sense that this game was going to be controlled easily by Lindsay.
Millbrook managed to pot one in the last minute of the first period to try to make it look respectable.  However, once Lindsay started to score in the 2nd period, there didn't seem to be too much that was going to stop them, scoring 6 more times within a ten minute span, to head into the flood leading by a score of 9 - 1.
Although the game was well in hand, its one of those games that very easily can get stupid, both because the home team doesn't like to lose like that, and also because these are two teams of 15, 16, and 17 years old boys (and two girls on the Millbrook team), who for whatever reason, can find a way to hate each other before the puck is even dropped.  The Lindsay coaching staff decided to switch things up a bit to try and stem the tide somewhat for the third period.  It did work to stop our scoring punch, only scoring 1 goal in the 3rd period, but it also messed up the defensive side of the game, where we allowed 3 goals to get past our net-minder.  In the end, after a lot of yelling and screaming and chirping from both the players on the ice from both teams, and some of the fans in the stands on the Millbrook side of the ice, Lindsay left town with a 10-4 victory; their 5th win in a row.
On Sunday they boys will face a tougher game as they host Mariposa, whom they beat 3-2 in the first meeting of the season between the two teams.
