Silver Linings
The Fish travelled north for the Silver Stick Collingwood Regionals from Nov 15-17. The team showed up hungry and ready to prove themselves.

The weekend tournament started off against the St. Mary's Rock. The Muskies played a good team game and came away with a 4-1 win that fired the team up and filled them with confidence for the weekend. #80 Nick MacDuff, #87 Isaac Minor, #14 Chuck Baxter and #8 Colton Lytle were the goal scorers in the win.

Later on in the day the Muskies would take on the Bradford Bulldogs in a tight, high intensity game. The Fish played undisciplined and couldn't stay out of the penalty box but were still able to fight their way to a 5-3 win. #14 Chuck Baxter, #19 Kennedy Phillips, #8 Colton Lytle, #87 Isaac Minor and #91 Jack Fagan would provide the offense to send their team to a 2-0 start headed into the Saturday morning tilt with the host Collingwood Blackhawks AE4.

Saturday Morning the Fish came out blazing hot  against the host team and didn't stop until the final buzzer. Every player on the team would tally atleast a point in the 15-1 dominating performance that clinched the top seed in their division and sent them on to the semi finals later that afternoon.

In the semis the Muskies would come up against a very strong Saugeen Shores Storm team. The Storm would strike in the first period with a short handed marker for a 1-0 lead. They would hold that lead until half way through the second period when #14 Chuck Baxter would send the Muskies faithful into a frenzy when he slid one past the Storms netminder while being hauled down by a Storm defender. #29 Charlie Ruston did his part in keeping the game knotted at 1 as he turned away shot after shot until #87 Isaac Minor raced in with 40 seconds left in regulation to give the Fish a 2-1 victory and punch their ticket to Finals on Sunday morning.

In the Finals the Fish would take on the other host team, the Collingwood Blackhawks AE3. The Blackhawks game out hungry and hard while the Muskies got off to a slow start and unfortunately were not able to recover. #14 Chuck Baxter was the lone Fish to light the lamp in the 5-1 defeat.

All the players should be proud of themselves in all the hard work they put over the weekend and how they came together to beat some great teams and played some great hockey and hopefully the team can learn from the disappointing finish and use the valuable experience for the rest of the season. You'll get them next time Muskies!
