Calling All FUTURE MUSKIES - Pre Initiation Program
Submitted By Theresa Fierheller on Tuesday, August 11, 2015
As a result of the recent changes implemented by the Ontario Minor Hockey Association to the Initiation (formerly Mite) age division, Lindsay Minor Hockey Association will be conducting the “FUTURE MUSKIES” Pre-Initiation Hockey Program for children under 5 years old who are interested in a learn to skate and hockey skills program.

OMHA has advised Minor Hockey Associations in in Ontario that they will only be able to roster for league play children who are 5 and 6 years of age for the Initiation (Mite) age division hockey teams. Lindsay MHA recognizes that there are a number of children in our area that would be interested in participating in hockey. In order to fill this need Lindsay MHA has developed a program that addresses this requisite.

The program will presented as follows;

·         The first program will be conducted from September to December

·         Open to children 3 and 4 years of age

·         There will be a total of 26 one hour on ice sessions

·         The sessions will alternate between skating instruction and hockey skill instruction

·         Thirteen of the on ice sessions will be with a certified Skating Instructor

·         Thirteen of the on ice sessions will be a combination of hockey skills and fun games

For additional information, cost of program, registration information, etc. go to the Lindsay Minor Hockey Association website at www. lindsayminorhockey.com. If you have any questions regarding the program you can also submit them by going to the same website or submit through [email protected].
