Goalie Clinics Starting September 12th
I want to thank everyone that participated last year and made the first year of goalie clinics a huge success. Lindsay Minor Hockey Assc. has decided to expand the program to twice a month for the months of September –December as long there continues to be support to do so.

Andrew Verner will be returning as the Head Instructor, but strongly recommend that registered on ice- volunteers will come out to learn and have the knowledge to support the goalies when they return to their team practices so that they continue to develop skills.  We are hoping to have some Bantam/ Midget age players to volunteer to come out to assist with shooting on the goalies in the desired location so that the coaches can spend more time watching and learning the drills.

We hope to continue to keep the program as affordable to all the goalies as we can, LMHA will continue to pay half for the goalies that are registered with the LMHA.  We are asking that we are provided with a deposit of $60.00 at the start of the sessions, this deposit will be returned if all sessions were attended, unless given 24 hours’ prior notice.  Goalies registered with other organizations may attend but they will have to pay full price per session with a $60.00 deposit.  Once again deposit will be returned if all registered sessions are attended, and if not attended 24 hours’ notice given.  Any player that misses a registered session that does not attend and has not given 24 hours’ notice will be charged at the full rate of $30.00, if a player misses a second session with less than 24hrs notice they and will be charged at the full rate $30.00 and will not be able to register for future dates.  The deposit is there to make sure that someone who registers understand the costs to the LMHA and possible spot that could be provided to another goalie.  As long as the proper notice is given then a full refund will be returned in January.

Andrew Verner is the Assistant Coach of the Peterborough Pete’s, and Head Instructor for Overtime Hockey and Canadian Hockey Enterprise for Goalie’s.  Andrew is a Goalie Consultant, Scout with Canadian Hockey Association and has participated in world cup tournaments representing Canada as a coach.  Andrew played for the Peterborough Pete’s and drafted by the Edmonton Oilers, 34th overall in the 1991 NHL Entry Draft.  Andrew played in AHL and then moved on to play in Europe for several organizations.

Cost: $15.00 LMHA registered Goalies/ session

 $30.00 OMHA registered Goalies/ Session

If you are interested in attending can you, please submit the Goalie Clinic Registration form on the LMHA website and submit payment prior to the 12th of September by dropping it off in the LMHA mail box located on Pad 1 or given to myself prior to the 1st session.  No goalies will be allowed on the ice unless full deposit and session payment is received, unless prior arrangements have been made with myself.

Payment for each session will be made prior to going on for that session.

Scheduled Sessions

September 12th  6-7pm Lindsay Recreation Complex-Pad 1

September 26th  6-7pm Lindsay Recreation Complex-Pad 1

Future sessions will be posted and emailed to all registered goalies.
