Initiation Hockey
Submitted By Darcy Morasse-Caffin on Monday, September 3, 2018
Hello Everyone,
Welcome to the 2018/2019 Initiation Hockey Season.
The first few weeks we will be separating the players by birth year.  Next Saturday 2012 players will skate first at 9:00am and 2013 players will skate at 10:00am. This will continue for the next few weeks. The schedule will reflect this in the days to come.We will be assessing each child as we work them through fun skills based stations.
As of right now we have about 35 kids registered.
We expect this number to be close to 40.  We expect to have 4 teams at the IP level.  A decision about whether we will be hosting our own houseleague or will be entering the local league will be made at a later date when all information is known.

Teams will be based on assessments, not parent requests as we will try to ensure teams are as even as possible. "Games" will not begin until after December 1st.  Our focus will be on having fun in small area games and skill development stations.
We are looking for some coaching help for the upcoming season.  If interested please reply to this email.  If you are not interested in coaching but can volunteer to put up boards etc.  This will be welcomed as well.
If you are interested in your child playing up a level please reply to this email and the process will be discussed with you.
This continues to be a transition year for LMHA and hockey in our area and our province.  Thank you for your patience.
Please note that I have limited access to email - so I apologize in advance for my tardy or limited responses.
Once again, looking forward to a positive and promising 2018/2019 hockey season.
