Bantam BB, U15, 2012-2013 (Lindsay Minor Hockey)

The Lindsay Bantam BB Muskies have wrapped up their year and the coaching staff wants to thank and congratulate the players on all their hard work and effort this season. The team improved considerably and earned much success as Silver Medalists in both the Owen Sound and Applewood Tournaments and a run to the All-Ontario Semi-Finals in the OMHA Playdowns. The team played in the very tough Lakeshore "A" loop and played in 3 "A" Classification tournaments and finished the season with a 19-23-6 record. The Lindsay Muskies competed in the Bill Buss A Tournament this past weekend with a great showing and earned the Silver Medal against the higher category competition. The Muskies started the tournament with a 4-3 win over Milton. The Muskies got out to a quick 2-0 lead 23 seconds into the game and built the lead to 4-0 before getting off their game and letting Milton get under their skin. Milton slowly got back into their game and closed within 1 to 4-3 with 16 seconds left but the Muskies were able to hold on for the win. The Lindsay Bantam Muskies got knocked out of the All-Ontario Semi-Finals on the weekend with a spirited effort against the Midland Centennials. The team battled hard and the coaching staff was very proud of the effort and battle level but dropped games 2 and 3 by the scores of 8-4 and 5-2.

The Lindsay Bantam Muskies traveled to Midland last night for Game 1 of the All Ontario OMHA Semi-Finals. The team knew they would be in for a hard game as the Midland team is one of the top-ranked Bantam teams in the Province and a very strong squad. The Muskies came out battling hard with a strong forecheck and a good physical game which saw the 1st period end in a 0-0 tie. The period was very even and the Muskies outshot Midland 10-8 in the period.

The Lindsay Bantam Muskies advanced to the OMHA Semi-finals with a 2-1 win on Saturday against the PEC Kings to win the Quarter Finals series 7 points to 1. The win extended the Muskies unbeaten streak to 9 games as they have yet to lose during the 2013 calendar year.
