Goals in pairs
On the day that the NHL hockey is starting back up again, Lindsay Teal was home to play host to the Brock Wild.

The trend that started last night in Manvers continued on today as Lindsay took on the Wild.  In the first period the game was tight once again, then Lindsay got called for a penalty and would have to try and hold Brock off, and again Lindsay was playing with a shortened bench as they only had 9 players for the game.  18 seconds into the penalty however, Jeff bobbled his way into the Brock zone with the puck and slid it home to take the shorthanded lead 1-0.
In the 2nd period things remained the same until Liam broke down the left wing and wired a hard pass to Jeff skating to the net who tipped the puck home for his 2nd goal of the game.  After having a somewhat controversial goal called off by the officials, (some fans are adamant that the puck was in, others say no.  However the officials were not in the zone to be able to properly make the call, and in fact were seen looking at a (Lindsay) parent behind the net area who shook his head no, and that's when the call was made), Lindsay would give up a goal on a bit of a scramble, to head to the flood up by a count of 2-1, and down another player as they lost one of the 3 defenceman they had playing due to the Three County 3 penalty rule.
The third period again was a close period, although I think if Lindsay had all their players the game would not have been so close, but none-the-less the game was close.  At the 3:18 mark of the 3rd period Mike C gave the Lindsay bench a little more breathing room by scoring his first goal of the game, (a beauty dangling goal that had the visitors for the next game banging on the glass for him) and then wrapped the game up by potting another goal with 10 seconds left to give the home side a 4-1 victory and even their record so far in the 2nd half at 2-2.  The next game for Lindsay will be after the kids write their exams, when they will play visitors to the host Lindsay Black team on January 30th.
