Mite LL - Black, U5 & U7, 2014-2015 (Lindsay Minor Hockey)

Mite Black faced off against Mite Teal in the first game of the Mite Classic Evan Duncan # 12 got things started with his loan marker of the game. Followed by Abdul Alfahd # 10 who added two of his own and Gavin Fyke # 11 with a single tally to lead Mite Black to 4-3 OT victory over Teal.

I am going to start off by saying, I am going to write this article a little different then previous submissions. I am doing this because something fantastic happened over the course of the tournament. Mite Black faced off against Mite Teal in their first game of the tourney. Mite Black took a commanding 7-1 lead into the third period but Teal did not let up and pulled within two goals but couldn't complete the come back and fell short to the Black squad in a 7-5 win.

On Sunday Feb.22/15 it was the Battle of the Muskies Part # 4 at the LRC, when The Mite Black squad faced off against the Mite White squad. Mite White opened the scoring early in the first period but Black replied with 5 unanswered goals of their own to take a 5-1 lead into the second period. Mite white was able to add one to their tally in the second but Black once again answered with 5 more of their own.

On Saturday morning Feb.21/15 at the LRC it was The Battle Of The Muskies Part # 3. Lindsay Mite Black faced off against Lindsay Mite Teal in what proved to be a very entertaining game. Mite Black got off to a slow start and Teal took advantage of this jumping out to a 6 - 0 lead until midway through the second period when Black decided to mount the come back.

The Mite Black Squad hosted the Woodville squad on February 14/15 at The LRC. Mite Black team seemed unfocussed for most of the game. The Woodville squad noticed this and took advantage of this, taking an early one goal lead. But with some great passing and team work the Mite Black squad was able to pull out the victory.
